Hi everyone smile
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to jap cars so what are your recommendations for a good first jap car? I want something not ridiculously expensive, not with a massive engine. Just something I can tinker with and have fun driving. Before I go for something with a bit more potential wink
Thanks in advance smile

Budget?

I have a mk2 mr2 NA and love every second in it!

Also available in turbo if that's your preference.

Depending on budget and insurance I would say a starlet turbo, they are easy to work on and are lots of fun for the money.

Would say an EP3 Civic type R. Tunable, throwable, parts are readily available, and there's plenty more models to advance on once you've decided japs the way to go!
Plenty of people talk about the MX5 but I've never driven one so cant really comment, suppose it depends if you want RWD.
