I figure a re spray is both a major thing, and a substantial undertaking with respect to the time required, so thought I'd do a temperature check on who's out there and make sure I get to the right people, rather than just 'look local' even if it means travelling a fair way to get it right...

So who and where are the go-to-guys for a respray nowadays?

Welcome any pointers and experiences you might be able to share, especially if they're SE-based , as I am... smile

RS Bodyworks have done a lot of work for me and all of it has been spot on. They have painted my Ducati 916, my first chimaera and my Navara truck and are currently painting my Tuscan. I wouldn't put their name forward if I didn't trust them and you are welcome to see my car in a couple of weeks when it's finished. As a bonus there's a decent powder coating company next door to tidy up all the little brackets etc while the cars getting paint! Ask for Scot on 01303 844261

Got mine done at Austec racing a few years back with a headlamp conversion, they did take a hell of a long time and I I have to chase them every week for an update but I was very happy with the end result .

Their spraybooth is now inhouse. Ive been keeping an eye on some of the jobs that have been coming out in the past 2 months and they look tidy jobs although I haven't seen one in the 'flesh' yet.

Mines currently being done by C&S Coachworks on the same industrial estate as APM. Andy recommended them as he sends all his repair/paint jobs to them and so far they seem to be very communicative, open with visits to look around and seem to be enjoying working on the car. When shes all done and back on the road (Easter with a bit of luck), Id be happy to drop by and let you see...
