Hi
I what to get a list together of events on and around the track this year, we have some people camping with us who will be new to the Le Mans experience,

Car show in Mulsanne Village (Lowdrag to advise)
Usual cafes and restaurant's in Arnage Hi street where people can sit and watch owners of Classic and British sports cars parade around throughout the weekend.
St Saturmim Car Cavalcade(Friday afternoon) where a convoy of cars is escorted by Harley Davidsons to Le mans Town centre to watch the drivers Parade. Children from local Hospitals are bought down to the road side to watch the cars go by.

The circuit is open to ordinary traffic from the exit of Tertre Rouge all the way round to just shy of the Porsche Curves whenever the cars aren't running.
The cars will be running 1600 to 1800 and 2200 to Midnight Wednesday.
Then 1900 to 2100 and 2200 to Midnight Thursday.
But here is also support race qualifying to fit in so the roads will be closed a little earlier.

I think the section from Mulsanne Corner to Arnage corner usually gets closed on the Friday, despite no track action, at some point to prevent big crowds and vehicle based tomfoolery. The cars will be running 1600 to 1800 and 2200 to Midnight Wednesday.

This. In the past certain tits have tried to chance their luck at Indy corner and ended up in the gravel traps and then chucked gravel all over the corner, so now thanks to them the Rozzers close the section from Mulsanne roundabout to Arnage corner.
Probably avoiding the cars coming the opposite way on the racing line

Its a real shame, it used to be one of the highlights of my weekend, parking up at Indy corner swapping stories of your drive down with other enthusiasts, having a laugh with the jolly chaps from Beer Mountain, anyone remember the Zebra crossing Lolly pop man? The other chaps handing out RAF stickers to all those with Cool cars
All great fun only to be spoilt by the few

Yes the 24 Hour, hoping to put together a small information pack for the newbies in our party ,
Hi, complete newbie to the 24hrs, hoping to go with you guys, took a lot of convincing but the mrs is willing to spend her 30th birthday out there so I want to make sure she has a good one! I'm probably leaking the ferry from plymouth unless there's a good reason to travel to Portsmouth. Any help and advise will be very much appreciated! Roverload said:

Probably not much help, but if you want to get there you should avoid leaking the ferry.Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
