Hi Guys

Slightly wierd issue. I seem to get a drop in revs on idle, it seems to be every few seconds you can hear and see the revs dip then back up again.

Its never sone this before, the only change has been the change of the PA catch tank.

Any thoughts?

Have you knocked an electrical connector or vacuum pipe whilst get the catch tank in?

you may have pushed the vac pipe on too far on the maifold it is quite close to wher you were woking when you installed the catch tank.it must not be pushed all the way in or your car wont start, even if you push it on nealy all the way, it will effect the ide. hope that helps.

thanks guys.

Tony, it all starts fine and drives fine. When I stop its fine for a few seconds and idlea like normal. then it drop and then goes up And then repeats every 2/3 secs.

I didnt disconnect the manifold end when installing the catch tank, just the end connected to the old catchtank if that makes sense.

Trevor, no AC on - zaps too much power :-)

You could try re setting the adaptive maps , could be a faulty lambda probe causing it to run rich on one bank .

I'd be guessing a Lambda sensor.

Hi guys
Stupid question, but when you reset the adaptive maps, do you do it with the engine still running once up to temp?

Cheers
Steve
