I've wanted an Aston Martin (of any description) since I was ten years old... just before Christmas with a 35 year gap from first wanting to now actually owning, I purchased a pre-owned V8 Vantage (very low kms & full service history).

It now sits proudly in my garage (inside an AirChamber) and is driven once a week as my second "Special drive" car.

As many of you already know... never, ever give up on your dreams!

Nice one!

However as far as my dreams are concerned I think that Jennifer love Hewitt is still beyond my reach!

Jennifer Love Hewitt won't look this good though in 35 years!

Thanks for all your positive comments... The AirChamber is excellent, not only does it stay rigid when not being used, it has two fans installed into the sides that constantly pump air through keeping the car dry and dust free. I highly recommend getting one (UK based company).

Welcome to AM ownership, I'm sure you'll love it. I'm not familiar with air chambers (my V8V has to live on the drive). Is the primary purpose to control humidity or keep the car clean and dust free?

Congratulations - like most of us, its a dream that's hard fought for but well worth the effort when you hear the engine kick into life.

Enjoy...

Me too, though it took me a year more than you!

One thing though, I really don't know how you can restrict yourself to 1 drive a week at weekends. I use mine as much as possible, and despite access to other cars, I find myself putting more miles on the AM than anything else. It just begs to be driven!

very nice car, Im sure you will enjoy it for many years

I guess you wont be driving it the rain ...I dont know how you have the patience to wait for a fine day, I couldnt keep out of mine for the first couple of years anyway

still, if you only drive it at weekends, it does keep the special feel. For the last 5 years mine has been a 2nd car and only a weekend drive and retains the appeal

you can become a bit blase about driving an Aston if you use it daily as an only car....until you get stopped for a chat or photos with excited strangers at the petrol station smile

Not too many rainy days in Australia thankfully!
