Also posted on the Jap car section.

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I've not been particularly into car related things until recently. But, getting into my 'middle years' I thought now or never and, after a wee bit of research, bought a 2010 Nissan GTR - my life has been transformed and I am becoming an obsessive petrolhead!

Love the car and was wondering if there are other members and owners on here in the Aberdeen area? A run sometime or a meet would be great!

Cheers,

Jim

Welcome!

Aberdeen seems to be the hub for GTRs, heaps of them here. Few member owners too, I think!

Think there's a run being organised for the Aberdeen lot soon. Everyone will be welcome.

I've a lowly S14a 200SX, not quite a GTR but I'll get there!

Hey Jim

Welcome ! There is a great meet happening at the Fennel in Inverurie this coming Sunday. Should be a good turnout, so you should drop by. I would imagine there would be other GTR owners there too. I'll be in the White CaymanS, so if you see me then say hello wink !

Welcome to the forum James, I've been taking a few photos of members cars on Pistonheads and was hoping someone with a GTR came forward. If its something you'd be interested in let me know (thread is: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... )

Cheers
Scott

I wondered how long it would take you Scott.
Welcome James and I can vouch that Scott is not a stalker.
I know of three GTR owners, but all Central/Edinburgh. There will be a few up your way for sure.

Hey Jim. Welcome to the forum! I'm an ex-GTR (33) owner from some time ago so obviously have a soft spot for the 'R35'. Never actually been in one though... wink

Hopefully catch you on a meet sometime once by lumbering beast breathes some life again! smile

Awesome, great choice!

Seen a few buzzing around the area and I always have a good gawp as they go by smile

Get a PH smiley sticker put on.

Sorry for the delay in replying but I've not been good at reminding myself to check the forum! Thanks for all the replies folks and I'll keep a look out for meets and the like. I might manage to persuade the wife to come for a spin if it means a breakfast in Fennel! Keen to get educated on all the exciting sports cars that are out there in the north-east (and beyond) - a new interest (aka obsession) for me now.

All the best,

Jim

Never made it in the end, even to see the cars. From the photos on the other thread I think that I missed out (but my hangover was never going to allow me to attend)!

Are these things every week or monthly at Fennel?

The V8 Breakfast is very week, with usually a couple of nice cars. The Scottish Supercars BHP Breakfast is the first Sunday of every second month in Aberdeen smile

How was the TVR breakfast. Saw a Sagaris (sp?) driving down Union St Sat early evening - anyone on here?

Was that the burgundy coloured one with silver wheels? saw him on King Street, thought it might have been Hollowpockets but didn't get a good look.

The burgandy one T1VVR was there, as was hollowpockets orange candy car. The burgandy one is being shipped to new zealand on Thursday, such a shame but the Sagaris is about the most common car in the club!
