Picked up my T350 from Doms yesterday as it had the 4.5 put in and what a difference from the old 3.6 sounds so much quieter and not like a bags of nails and so much smoother, cant wait to get it run in only 800 miles to go

Went out yesterday for a drive on some B roads and some motorway driving and it just feels awesome so smooth and effortless, I could not go over 3000-3500 revs but on the odd occasion I let the revs drop right down and gently eased the throttle and none of that noise you get from the 3.6 and just hit 3500 in no time, she is going to be blooming quick, only thing that really annoyed me was others car catching me up and overtaking me and I could do nothing about it furious so I,am getting a sign made up "running in" so I can show them as they overtake smile can,t have my reputation ruined

It may be different for a Sp6, but when I was running my RV8 last year I was banned from cruising anywhere, I was told in no uncertain terms to go up and down the gearbox, between 2000 and 4250 rpm, no cruising, no labouring the engine in a high gear at low revs. Sounds like you aren't trying, Gary!

I was not just sitting at 3500 revs I was going up and down the rev range and gearbox as sitting at 3500 is not good when running an engine in, but there was a few cars that went pass and just looked at me at different speeds and I wanted to hit the loud pedal but restrained myself smile

You are trying to do a proper job. I should have known you would be! thumbup
Share your frustration! I got through my 1200 miles in just over a week. Just used the car for every journey possible.

When I get mine done, I shall ask my wife if she can use it to commute to work (as I work from home), to put on the running in period miles, as she never goes above 3k revs anyway.....hehe

Its actually amazing how much you can do without breaking the running in rev limit.
Just cannot show tossers in german vehicles who's boss. Leave that until next month - it starts on Saturday hehe

Just been to Taylor TVR to pick up a part which is a 20 min drive from me took me 20 mins to get there an hour to get back, don,t know how I got lost, now the wife wants me to take her to the local ASDA far to near so, I have just checked their store locator and there is one 30 miles away that will do smile

She is all run in and had 1000 mile service, drove back from Dom,s and what a joy engine is fabulous, quick, quite and lovely through the revs not really pushed it hard yet as I have been told to keep max 5000 - 6000 revs till she goes back from the re-map which is another 1500 miles but from first impressions its so nice to drive and it gets 5000 - 6000 revs in no time and as it is so quite and not like the revy 3.6 you have to check the speedo to see how fast your going and trust me you need to check so not to break the speed limits, love it smile

P.S. Anyone want a JP Sports exhaust as I,am having a standard exhaust put back on as I want to quite it right down to go with the engine

Stick the JP Sports Exhaust in the Classifieds Gary, I am sure somebody will buy it from you.

I am weak - hopelessly so when it comes to these cars, I admit.

I was thinking perhaps a £12k (max) for the engine, so would it be better to have the 4.3 plus the new ECU, or a 4.5 - but I have a feeling the 4.5 is a lot more expensive
