I own a focus RS mk 1 and people keep waving..

Is it some sort of mark of respect ? Was sitting in traffic and some guy in a Scooby wrx was beeping, some lad in a van giving it the thumbs up

The Mrs doesn't like the car (f~ck her lol) but it does feel weird getting loads of attention in it !

I wave at MX5s all the time. Even when I'm in my MX5 people look at me like I've cut someone's face off to use as a mask so count yourself lucky people appreciate your car

I find MX5 drivers the most eager to wave to each other. Its slightly creepy but Mk1/2/3/etc owners will often say hello as strangers and tell you about there car. It's like a more acceptable motoring Caravan Club.

Some cars get waves. My Defender got waves, thumbs up from fellow Landy owners. My 7 gets the same from fellow owners.

Depends on the car and it's following.

When my friend had his defender 90 he always got waves and flashes. Made him quite paranoid until he realised why!
