Fantastic Customer Service From CG-Lock

I bought a CG-Lock for my S4 as i was fed up of sliding about on the seats when i wanted some fun in the corners. Great bit of kit and if you aren't familour with it, then have a look at their website.

Anyway.... back to the reason for the post. The CG-Lock was in the S4 for over a year and has been in the RS4 for coming on two years. Jumped in the car around New Year to find a spring on the lock had appeared to break. I called CG-Lock hoping to buy a replacement spring, but not sure what they would do, as you can't buy direct and can only buy from a stockist.

I was told on the phone just to email a picture of my Lock, so they could see what the problem was. I received an email back within a few days telling me to post it back and they would send out a brand new replacement which had the new upgraded spring on it. They didn't ask me where i bought it, did i have a receipt or any of the usual guff.

The new lock arrived in the post soon after. Fantastic product backed up by customer service and care which can be hard to find these days. Will be fitting another lock when the wee one moves up to her next size of car seat.

Not had to go back to them at all, but just thought I'd add that I've had one in my car for the last few years as well, excellent wee thing in my opinion!

Always nice to hear about good customer service.

I find that my CG lock doesn't always stay attached to the seatbelt buckle very well, and you can't tighten due to the fact it is a tiny sized allen key required (deliberate perhaps?)

Anyone else get this with theirs?

I just managed to get my allen key stuck (A £5 set of chromed, yes chromed, keys) in it for about 20 minutes.

I got mine from Ian (2nd poster) and it's brilliant. I think getting it on the buckle is quite dependant on the size of it. Mine is quite a short and flat one, I could imagine if it was curved a bit more/slightly odder a shape it'd be harder.

Will do me fine until I get buckets and harnesses at some point!

It seems fine 'in use' i.e. when you're actually buckled in, but after a few times of belting up/unbucklings, the CG lock comes away from the buckle and has to be reattached which takes about 5 minutes. Bit of nuisance.

That's good service Kenny!
I've got a pair, they're brilliant wee things. I took the passenger one off though as it rattled off the door pillar when no passengers and now I've lost the wee slide lock, will need to contact them for another.

Never had any issues with them popping off

Thanks, I did try that but it wasn't any better (the tips of the bolts just protruded from the underside)

I've never had a problem with the lock popping off. I would contact CG-Lock to see if they can help.
