Hello mates
I'm planning to sell my car to buy a Ultima Can Am.
I think many do not understand the reason that leads me to change: I need a Barchetta car (convertible).
Here warm seasons offer a lot sunshine and no rain for months, be closed under one roof is sad.

I know come mates have already had a ultima... tips?

Thankyou, kind regards. Alberto.

Unlike Tuxman I loved my Canam, was very sad when I sold it... but IMHO its not dynamically close to being in the same league as the Noble, Id never sell the noble to buy an Ultima and Id only have a canam smile... its also not half as refined as the noble and if you get a SBC powered one it will not be as reliable and will need constant fettling.

The way to go will be is get an LS powered one... a close friend has 450bhp LS powered canam and it is an absolute joy to drive compared to my well sorted SBC one (and all the other SBC powered Ultima GTR's I have driven).

I'm very tempted to turn my Noble into a T top so the entire roof can be removed... now I have moulds its very possible I may do it as I love convertibles smile

Despite my leg pulling above I tried a few Ultima's before buying my Noble M400 and was tempted but never bit the bullet. As mentioned the Noble is far more refined that the standard Ultima and I would think more suited to the roads around Vicenza. I also think that now some of the high performance convertibles (Mercedes/Audi/Porsche etc) are a few years old they can be easily bought for less than a good LS engined Ultima. I have recently looked at few options as also want a convertible for the Summer (and to drive down to Italy!!).

Ciao
