Well after having my V8 Vantage for 3 years Ive finely found the right V12 for me.
Ive had much advice on here about trying one but resisted the urge until I was in the position to get one.
What people have said is right. Its completely different to my 06 V8. I don't think Ive stopped grinning since I picked it up Friday.
Its a beast. The torgue from these things is phenomenal and its just feels so special.

Anyway enough babble here are the mandatory pics

Yep. Full check up with JCT 600 and 12 months AM premium warranty.
Very pleased with it.
I loved my V8 but this is on another level.
Going to get it detailed whilst im offshore so hopefully it should look even better when I get back.

Well done that man. Getting it detailed is always the best start you can give it. The factory finish isn't good enough.

Sorry to be a complete numpty (I'm new) but what does getting it detailed mean? Just bought V8V Roadster in Meteorite 5 months old should I be considering it?

PS: Awesome looking car!

Fair question... It's beauty treatment for you car... like a wash... but on a whole new level. Imagine paint correction, scratch removal (including swirls), polishes, waxes, sealants.... An all over body pamper that will make your baby look beautiful but at a cost - it can take quite a few hours as you would imagine. There are plenty of topics on this and many would argue it's worth doing. I do my own but there is quite an outlay on equipment and products and I dare say that the results aren't quite as good as the 'experts' but it can be satisfying if you have the time.

By the way, beautiful car and great colour(both the V8VR and V12) - but you all already know that!!!

Detailing is a much more advanced form of Valeting. They remove all the swirl marks that even new cars have.
Normally they machine polish the car and apply some very good waxes. It also removes all the road grim that gets into the paint.
When finished the car looks and feels like glass.
It's not cheap and to do it properly can take a couple of days but is well worth it.
I got my V8 detailed 2 years ago and even now all it needs is a quick snow foam and pressure wash and it comes up like new.

Well, that more or less answers your question. I'm not an Aston owner, but rather a detailer of them. I probably do more modern Aston's than anyone else in the country, mostly due to the lovely folks on here. The trouble is, Aston Martin isn't known for their great paint finish/prep. The actual paint is some of the best you will find anywhere, but the trouble is, they do a rush job at the factory, so it's often left with sanding patches, swirls, scratches and even burn throughs on edges of panels. Not good when you're spending so much money. More and more people(including dealers) are realising this, which is why I've seen a rise in new car details. As has been mentioned, it's not cheap, but anyone on here that has had their car detailed by me will tell you that I put the hours in and the results are pretty damn good. Saying that, it's still cheaper to have it detailed rather than buy the crap the dealer wants to sell you.

The biggest difference you can make to a car is to have it machine polished, the rest is just cleaning and protecting the hard work you've just done. The good thing is, once you've had it done , the time taken to clean it reduces greatly and it will look just like it's just been detailed. Providing you use the right (safe) kit of course.

If you've got any specific questions, just drop me a message.

Zod, love that photo.

Thanks that explains it! After front plate remount, glass switches and fuse 15 removal, you are next on the list!

Congratulations, your new p&j looks awesome. And you had some great weather to enjoy it in too. Only managed a few miles on Saturday in our V12V and sadly only to drop it off at AM Works for the recall fix frown Looking forward to putting a few miles under the wheels in Norfolk in a couple of weeks... driving
