No injuries, but will be an insurance claim.

She took the other drivers details, but the other driver did not want my wifes details.

If there are no injuries, you have swapped insurance details and there is no damage to any other property (including the road and road furniture etc.) then there is no requirement to report an accident to the police.

Slightly odd that the other driver didn't want your wifes details to be honest, I have to wonder if the details she got are genuine?

Thanks all. We were going to report anyway, but someone said its the law and I wasn't sure, when there are no injuries etc.

It is worrying that the other drivers didn't want details, but we have the reg and our insurance co said she is insured, so that's a start.

Damage was to our Evoque mainly as it was hit on the side, so a crease down the side. As the other driver hit with the corner of their car, no damage at all really to theirs.

To who ? Police .... only if someone is injured.

Insurance company ? Technically even if you don't intend to make a claim yes, but if you can sort it out "between friends" then tempting not to mention it.
