Still possible for river crossings etc but he claims no plans to toll on existing roads.

So do we believe them? Haven't we been here before only for the next lot to raise it again?

The thing is that they're going to need to get more money from somewhere and get it spent on fixing the roads and building new ones (and I mean building, not squandering it on public inquiries and the like).

I compare the number of new roads and motorways in the UK compared to the rest of northern europe - it's actually quite shocking...
