I came across this game recently through seeing playthrough's on YouTube, and after buying it and playing myself I'm really enjoying it.
The basic premise is you land on a planet and have to build factories, research units, power stations, drills, all sorts of engineering equipment in order to build defences, mine resources and eventually prepare for a large-scale landing of other humans on the planet.
Its very much about resource management; you build mines for things like coal, copper and iron, then lay out conveyor belts to deliver the minerals to furnaces to smelt, then factories to create products to go into larger structures. Supply & demand are a big part of it, and if anyone has played Anno 2070 you'll see parallels with the logistics aspects there.
Overall its a good puzzle game in a sense, the graphics are rather basic at the moment, looking like something from the late 90's, but its constantly being updated and an upcoming patch is set to create some much more modern visuals. For an indie game that's still in development it has a lot on offer and is effectively a full game that's being updated monthly it seems.
Worth a look if you like your strategy games!

Quite the thread resurrection but for those who enjoyed Factorio there's a new game out (early access though, like everything these days) called Satisfactory, which is basically Factorio but in first person. It has the graphics and exploration of Subnautica with the factory and conveyor belt management of Factorio.

It's currently only on the Epic store though, should that be an issue for some.
