First time owner, been like a child on Christmas Eve for the fortnight it's taken to arrive.

4.2 with full butterscotch hide with lightweight lights upgrade, it's going to be frightning small children and livestock in north oxfordshire, warwickshire and the coteswolds as soon as the bl**dy weather lifts a bit.

Got it through James Agger, the guy worked like a trojan to sort it for me will happily discuss details with anybody interested in his services from a very satisfied customer. He's a little like a drug dealer, gets you hooked flogs you the gear! (sorry james)

One thing is for sure I need to splash out on some tuition to get the most from this car or at least find its road / daily limits. Any help on people to approach would be appreciated.

Now must find my local club?

Ah I was looking at that car..... Still, we've got one each now!

The Ride Drive courses are fantastic to help ease you into driving lunatic rear wheel drive cars. To be honest, they're good even if you drive a Trabant, but particularly with faster forms of transport! www.ridedrive.co.uk

Do check out your local branch of the TVR Car Club - have a look at where your local region meets, and figure which one you go to - the Cotswold 3 Counties meets are in south Glos, there is an Oxford group or Berks depending on which is closest (or furthest away if you just want and excuse for a blast!)

Start at the TVRCC website - www.tvrcc.com and work from there.

I'm in north Worcs, and go down to the C3C region meets, as it gives me an excuse to take a decent length drive through the Cotswolds.... always good!

Apart from all that, enjoy scaring small children, and go carefully....

It's great to see so many new owners lately .

As to the learning to drive the beast, have you owned RWD cars previously?

I find the Cerbera easier to drive than a Nissan 200SX I had a while ago as it's so well balanced .

Nitron suspension well setup is a very wise investment for Cerb owners.

www.joospeed.net comes V highly recommended (myself included).

As for driving, smooth smooth smooth is the way to go on everything you do.

Heel+Toe technique is a must is you want to make quick progress and in this weather a good amount of tread on those tyres .

In my opinion the people buying now will be the ones who hold onto there cars and look after them .

Check the oil regularly as possible too as a typical Cerb can use 1ltr oil per 1k miles .

Mine uses more

In this weather I would say don't try and be a Hero just get from a-b.

And then when you're used to the car you can start to really enjoy the performance .

Hello

I've had my Cerbera just over a year now, and i would say it took me a good six months before i learned exactly what it could do performance wise, and i know i am still not driving it to the limit. Best advice is take your time, and of course any tuition days will be a bonus. And be careful in this kind of weather, and avoid snow at all costs - i once learned this the hard way - not a good experience at all!

Enjoy

I've seen the way you drive! You're a road hog man! Put you up against anyone, and I can put money on it, either you'll thrash him, or push him off the road!
