M6 - Kendal to Penrith Now Re-Opened.

Police closed the Cumbrian stretch of the motorway (both directions) after no less than 20 accidents occurred earlier this morning..
Although it is early to speculate
- all traffic reports I have heard so far suggest that the accidents were due to icy road surface.
Steveiebabes .... have you tried grit instead of a talivan?
In any case .... after the M11 fiasco .... were we not promised that gritting machines would be deployed on all major roads as matter of priority in name of safety?
