Car ads that did it for you

Looking through some old stuff (mostly car designs done at school!) i found these ads from, I think, 1991. I remember them very well, they were on my wall for a while and portrayed the BMW range that really did it for me. They represented part of the BMW I really aspired to which is now largely gone, but I still aspire to :-)
I've since sought the ads for the clip cup I owned and the brochures for my Alpina, but these BMWs, what a collection they would be now! (ok, ok, if the 850 was the CSi being brought back to the living on reader's cars!)
Over the course of 5 double spreads of the Times mag, it went something like this- but properly copy written-
No responsibilities
Living together
First child
Family of Four
Finally, they've left home
Which ad did it for you?

I always liked this Audi RS4 ad. Saw it in the cinema which added to the atmosphere (fear!).
The Honda " cog " ad from a few years ago ( car parts falling against or rolling into each other for a minute or so, finally triggering The Sugar hill gang's Rappers delight as a finish ). Genius, and very cheap for a car ad.
As said above, the R8 on the rollers ad, largely because I'm interested in owning one! Even my wife accepts the merits of that as a marketing ploy!

The Honda Accord (Civic?) one with the cogs and pendulums/dominos. Awesome.

The Volvo T5 'Power is nothing without control' one from the nineties. Hit me at an impressionable age, and just as a mate's dad had bought one and proceeded to take us out in it quickly on a reguar basis.

When i was a kid there was one for an Alfa, i think the 155. the guy was in court and proved he was somewhere quite far away not long before the incident took place with the idea being he couldn't have got to the scene in time, they clearly didn't realise how awesome his alfa was.....

One of my favourite posters as a child was one of the mazda RX7 stating it had broken the production land speed record... I can't remember it exactly but it was on those lines. I tried a quick google but can't find it.
TV adverts - I love the quattro based adverts (throw back to 80's quattro car scenes) and whoever came up with the audi vorsprung durch tecnick (spelling) campaign deserves a marketing pat on the back.
I also really enjoy the toungue in cheek peugeot advert for the 206 with teh elephant 'mods'.
Finally - this is not so much an advert but a video made by an indy lotus dealer (I think he has now moved onto B&C - a lotus dealer) showing the Lotus 'evolution' from an Esprit to an Evora... considering that the budget of this would have been miniscule compared to any car companies I think it deserves special mention.
Watch this I'll bet it will inspire you to wake up early one sunny morning (if we ever have one) and just go for a drive ... !
