Found that one of my rear springs appears to be lose.

I can move the spring up and down about 2mm which to my non mechanical mind doesn't seem right.Having any play in the spring in surely not a good thing.

There's a 2mm gap between the top of the spring and the spacer, I've put an arrow next to the gap.

Anyone seen this before?

Cheers,

Simon.

it might just be that the ride height adjuster has come loose, my Avo's are held in with a grub screw. I would check the number of turns showing on each side to get a comparison this should give you a very approximate level.

Not that uncommon. The question you should really be asking is if you can move the spring with the car on the ground, what's taking the weight of the car?

I'd have it checked and see if the shock has jammed itself into one position.
