Just heard about the all new kit car show happening on the weekend of July 19th at Castle Combe. I couldn't get full details from them yet but felt you should all consider pencilling this one in your diaries.
Very exciting. Anyone with any more info please let us know.

TKC Live is at Brands Hatch in November.

Could this be another? If so why is it called Kitfest?

Kitfest - probably to disctinguish it from japfest which is also at Castle Coombe about a couple of months earlier. May even be organised by the same crowd ???

All the very best to this new venture, hope if adds to the Kit Car scene, will keep an eye on this as I plan to do one show this year so Stoneleigh or this seeing as Detling (my closest) is no more.

It's confirmed in the Events calendar for 2014 as KITFEST ACTION DAY.

Looks like a resurrection of the Castle Coombe 'Kit car action day' from the 90's me thinks smile

Really? Last year it was Blyton Park. Have TKC booked Brands this year?

I've been speaking with one of the organisers today. I'm doing a trackday at Combe the day before so will probably hang about.

Just spoken to Castle Combe admin, this is not to be confused with the Brands Hatch date of the 15th Nov. KIT FEST will be an annual event starting this year on July 19th, it is run by the circuit owners. Much more than an action day is planned for KIT FEST too. I will let you know exactly what is on the cards as it gets finalised, they promised to keep me informed. They have lots of exciting plans, "on the Sunday after a hearty breakfast in the on site Tavern clubs will be invited to do parade laps and then they plan a run out to a local beauty spot".

As this track is 1hr from me I will be there just need to get the exocet up to rtr to get it on the road by then. Even if I don't get it back will deffo pop over. Be good to get a mev stand for owners if mine is done I wont mind putting the exocet next to my daily mx5 for people interested in the kit to see whats needed.

The annual gathering of MEV's has moved from Curborough to the all new KIT FEST on the 19th July. Please note that MOGGERS will not be at Curborough on July 19th but we look forward to seeing you all at Castle Combe, all other kit car clubs will be most welcome to arrange a meeting and display area free of charge.
Please contact events@castlecombecircuit.co.uk to book in.

Be warned Castle Combe is a great circuit but not for kit cars most kit car events fail here because of noise metre man if you intend going out.

Road legal kit cars will pass the 100db test at Castle Combe which is higher than some circuits.

That is true. However Castle Coombe's idea of 100db actually equates to about 95db anywhere else. Remember the troubles I had with the Exocet?
