I don't know if there is a section to post these in, but I thought those of you around Cheshire/Manchester might like to know that our good friends in blue have an X reg silver 911 Carrera 4 with a very tasteful fin on the back that they are using to catch the likes of you and I.

I saw it at the airport last week. I saw it again 2 days later, and luckily remebered it's owner, as to say the least he was driving in a provocative way that would normally have resulted in me exceeding the local limits.

Don't be tempted!

It's nice to see that our taxes are being spent wisely.

B@stards! What is the point though. An evo 6/7 is probably quicker, has room to put stuff (like people you've just nicked!) and its half the price.

Manchester Airport is very close to the stockbroker belt !

A silver 911 is not going to look out of place !

Having said that it's also very close to Europe's biggest Council Estate, so neither is an EVO

Also spotted last week in Kent. S reg 3 series BMW on M20 near Maidstone, and R reg Volvo on M26 near junction with M25.
Both muddy brown colour. The beemer had just pulled someone and still had its hidden lights flashing.
The Volvo went flying past at 100 plus, with just a stick-on light on the roof,Sweeney style. The light was not very visible in the bright sunshine, and he was lucky not to have caused an almighty pile-up.

There was the usual congestion around terminal 3 arrivals with cars strewn everywhere, so he just pulled up and started waving his warrant card at everybody that was parked randomly.

I took the opportunity to sick my head inside his open door and it was kitted out with all the gizmos that you would expect to see.

No wonder my council tax has gone up - I have to fund these b@$tards.

Cheers for the info. My home office is right next to Manchester Airport (though I've only been there twice this year!) and I must admit to thrashing the TVR around there on the odd occasion. Will keep my eyes open from now on....

Where exactly do you mean when you talk about the Stockbroker belt? The rich areas I know of in Cheshire are Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Hale/Hale Barnes.

The areas that you describe are mostly it. From West to East, you start at Hale then sweep west through Hale Barnes, Ashley, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Adlington, Pott Shrigley and the top end of Bollington. Lots of 7 figure houses and more 40 something women in Boxsters/SLK's than you can shake a stick at.

They won't even let you park in Prestbury unless you have at least an Audi A6!

Not really full of Stockbrokers, but chock full of lawyers, accountants, bankers and such like. In other words, peope who drive fast cars and can afford to pay very large fines to Constabulary coffers.

But I'm not bitter.

The only place my TVR ever got vandalised was Wilmslow... Not had any problems parking in Manchester.

Alot of scallys and slags from Macc go out in Wilmslow. Might explain it as they tend to think everyone who lives in Wilmslow is a millionaire. Which car park was it? Did you get it sorted OK?

You've probably got a good point about the people who go out in Wilmslow, maybe that would explain it.

The door is still scratched (gone through the top layer and into the undercoat so can't be polished out) but I'm hoping to get it sorted in the near future.

I'm more concerned about the £1,000 worth of damage done by the f@cking roadworks on the silk road - still trying to get that sorted.

If you do decide to get the scratch painted out there's a very good, and good value, place in Macc. Drop me an emither and I'll send you the details.

That was the stone chips when they did that "road safety" bollocks wasn't it? Stupid waste of time and money that. Hope the council pay up. Bunch of incompetent w@nkers.
