Which rad fan is which?

I did label the wires before unplugging them, but the pen has worn off my label!

Looking at the wiring diagram it seems they both have the same colour wires, I’m not sure it would help if they were different as I don’t know which is fan one & which is fan two...


They both work ok, as the ECU correctly powered them both up when the water temp sensor was disconnected so that’s a start.


Perhaps the best question is should the big fan come on before the smaller one?

Small fan first then large I think??? Does on mine at least

On mine the smaller fatter one kicks in first then the other later.

Anyone else notice which one of theirs is the first to come on?

I don’t suppose it really matters as long as the ECU can get them both going when it wants to.

Fan 1 is on the NS.

Fan 2 on the OS
