2.9 manifold gasket help

Hi all, my mechanic is having problems with the above, any ideas of a supplier.

Got mine from AVP. Allvehicleparts(dot)com
B-MG5367 six of them. About £20 inc. VAT
I don't know if this is expensive but they're usually about right.

I would have thought any good motor factors would have them in stock, otherwise www.burtonpower.com can do next day delivery.

Try to get the composite gaskets with the metal flame ring incorporated, they are better at sealing than the plain type. Ask when you order.

ETA: Burton's 2014 catalogue part no. TV1485 price £2.40 each incl. vat.
( Six gaskets for a full set. )

eBay, search "ford manifold gasket 2.9l".... £11 from an outfit called gaskets for classics. Have used them before and good product.

I used to have to supply all parts to my previous local garage.. A right pita now use a specialist hourly rate about the same and a far better service for my car. These tvrs are a bit special.

I guess it depends how far you would need to travel.

Perhaps he's st scared of shearing the bolts off in the cyl. head, & doesn't really want the job?

With lots of Plusgas ...... & a gas torch.

You may be right. The head don't need to come off but the manifold does and them bolts will be a pain
