Evening folks...
Me and Mrs H finally have a plan - by which I mean she has finally decided what to replace her Murano with... She is having a 2-3 year old RR Sport when we find the colour combo she is happy with.
The E-Class is going back to the lease company in a few weeks and I am having her Murano for a few weeks whilst we transfer her plate to the new RRS and then I am going to swap the Murano and maybe a couple of grand or so for something for me.
Fairly generic criteria I suppose: -
I no longer really do any miles (4 mile commute to work)
Insurance is not an issue
Not precious about age or mileage within reason
I like big petrol engines with rwd or 4wd as a rule
I like a bigger car rather than a hatchback
I do want something with a bit of poke and will be fun
The Murano will be worth circa £7k-£8k I guess and I could add a couple of grand or so give or take depending on how interesting an option I was looking at.
So any thoughts or suggestions?

The TVR option is interesting and well worth a look.
However I ought to have said whilst not 100% necessary a 2+2 would be better as we have mini me (who is 7) so having only a 2 seater is an option but I would prefer to have the option for something that we can all go somewhere in without having to pull the XJ-S from under its covers if needed!

But you're buying the RRS for those trips....... Ah yes, Monaro then. A part of my thinking is that today we have mine which is a rag top and we have gone to the coast for a long weekend in mine rather than the Murano for obvious reasons.
So one of my thoughts was a 6 series convertible (sorry Jim!
) as that is replacing the E-Class with something similar but more fun than the oil burner.

Ignore the Cricket!Little critter has been spoiling the lives of us chaps far too much!! Lol.
Seriously though, surely with the Rangey if it's a long journey that will win out for comfort etc.

You are quite right it has... However the little sod is still there! Also very true on the RR front and even Mrs H sat next to me on the sofa has just said get what you want!
If it needs to be practical, e34 M5.
