DBS Manual versus V12V future values
Discussion
I bought a DBS with 16k in Black in late 2012 from Aston Grange for 78k and currently weighing up the options, still under 20k on the clock and I am looking at keeping it for the long term, versus buying a V12V and keeping it for the long term.
Purely a weekend to a nice hotel or a trip to le mans car.
Whats your thoughts.

I'd say that DBS values are stronger now than when you bought yours. A V12V IMO won't be as strong but could come back in time as later models will be an attractive alternative to a new V12Vs. Other than that, I really don't have a clue, but safe to say both models are future classics. Purely a weekend to a nice hotel or a trip to le mans car.

Better first choose which car you like most (they have the same engine and transmission, but suspension, wheelbase, etc are different as well as the behaviour on the road, for me the DBS was the best choice, for others the V12V).
About value: nobody knows, but looking at exclusivity/scarcity:
4: DBS Coupe Manual: little over 1100 made
3: V12V Coupe Manual: little over 1000 made
2: V12V Roadster Manual: 100 made
1: DBS Volante Manual: less then 100 made
(see earlier thread about guestimate of DBS production numbers)

Interesting debate.
I will be looking to trade my manual DBS in for a volante at Xmas so I'm keeping my eye on prices.
I don't think I will be spanked this time.
Interesting negotiating tactic.........getting spanked as part of the deal. Coincidently, dealers have had my pants down on more than one occasion. I will be looking to trade my manual DBS in for a volante at Xmas so I'm keeping my eye on prices.

They did on my Vantage but with the large previous owners i let them but not this time. And im not that bothered as the car is awesome but really would like a volante for a keeper.
We will see as they say.
Should'nt say spanked on PH
