PS4 Fan noise, some solutions...not a gripe!

Hi,

My PS4 fan seemed to be on at full speed pernamently.

Borrowed a temperature monitor from work which messures ambient and has thermocouple probe.
Anyway its accurate.

My PS4 was in a TV cabinent with approx 2" space behind.

After taking temp mesurements I found it needs 4" to 5" space at rear for the fan to work effeciently.

Managed to drop the output temp at fan by 5C.

Makes sense, with 2" clearance it was probably just recirculating hot air.

Would be interesting to leave your temp sensor in place and log it while playing games, watching blu-rays, background downloading, streaming while gaming etc.

Yes after my PS3 I now have the PS4 on the top of the TV unit.
