...just got back from decatting the Cerbie...bigger grin on my boat race than ever!
Totally different 'tone' from the zorsts...now everyone looks...I mean everyone!
...pops and bangs like it has never done before....and is it just me...but my car now seems sooooo much more throttle responsive!
Jools...I think its the dogs danglie bits!....if I can convince the missus that its cool for her to wear some ear plugs...I might just convince her the noise level is ok!

Went to the SELNK meet last night and was followed by a friend in his decatted Tuscan with carbon cans, who made a comment upon arrival at the Rose and Crown..."I couldnt hear my Tuscan over the top of your Cerbie...and did you know that your spittin flames from your exhausts!"
Oh and the drive back through the Dartford tunnel was quite unbeleiveable...

[coat-in-hand-i-dare-to-ask] Is a decatted cerb with sports pipes louder than a Rover V8 which is also decatted with sports pipes? If so, how much difference in volume between the two?
I would say louder, but difficult to say by how much, although to be fair both the V8's sound diffrent to start with before decatting/sports pipes. People at the SELNK meet made a comment that my Cerbie sounded 'deeper'...a completely different note to before, and I noticed this immediately after the decat myself...but I know of a couple of Chim's that have been 'done' and I shall be comparing these at the next Mid Essex Meet!

hi! ive got a cerbera with sports pipes and have been thinking about de-catting it. I was just wondering by de-catting it would this affect the m.o.t and how much does it cost? is it worth doing?
Cerberas are renown for being OTT on the emissions at MOT time and decatting a Cerbera will make this worse...but the removal and refitting of the Cats at MOT time isnt a huge task provided you can get the car on a ramp, or have a friendly exhaust garage to refit them!

Ash...I have a camcorder...but Im a complete dunce when it comes to PC's...so really dont have a clue how to transfer it to here
...but...
...Sunday week we have our Mid Essex meet and there are usually 2 or 3 peeps who do know one end of a PC from the other who have camcorders who have posted on PH with vids who Im sure will oblige!
DAVETHERAVE where are you??
Also, one of the other members has just had his Chim decatted which is 'suppose' to sound good, so maybe we can get a comparison between a AJP and RV8 decat....
