Ireland's had it for years but now a proposal is afoot to give local authorities the power to close England's roads for motorsport events.

There's a government consultation paper with a quick questionnaire to show your support.

I've already completed it, took about 10 minutes. A small price to pay if it helps fuel a huge change to grass-roots motorsport in the UK

I've replied too - from 17 years marshalling and supporting the Tour of Mull and Mull Rally I've seen the benefits and spectacle of closed roads tarmac rallying first hand.

It's well worth taking a few minutes to respond using the MSA guidance.
