Does anyone know how to fit/adjust the door mirrors? My driver's side mirror is loose in the mounting so it drops down and I can't see who is behind me on that side (kind of hampers overtaking opportunities ...)

Have noticed a triangular shaped plate on the inside of the door when I open it, and reckon taking this off will give me access to the mirror fitting?

Martin

Took mine off to spray them, bich of a job. There is basically a cast post that is locked onto the the door by a grub screw that is on the top side of the post, i.e totally unreachable with an allen key!!!! The mirror in turn is fixed to this post by a long torx headed bolt from inside the door, again a pig to get to.

The bible has a section on this but recommends getting a specialist to do this job for you, and having done it once myself would recommend getting your Tiv dealer to do this job. It will save getting blood over your upholstery.

If it droops a lot and can't be tightened, then you may have broken the tripod inside. It's actually an ok job when you get down to it. Readjusted the drivers side last weekend. Search for M@H's description on how to adjust the mirrors. it's very good.
