Hi Guys,

When I wind window up it doesn't go back to original position. I have to pull it up the rest of the way (1cm).

It did this years ago and I had to do a nut up between door and mechanism, which solved the problem.

I've just tried it again and this time it's not sorting the issue.

Any ideas?

Bondy

windows are great fun to adjust, many of the adjustments are just small bolts into tapped 5mm soft alloy so thread easily and thus loose their adjustment.

Its just a case of keep adjusting it till its clearly going up smoothly etc

whilst were on windows. Any idea how to make mine seal better on pass side? you can hear the air at motorway speeds.

Not easy to diagnose even with the car... But could be as simple as your door needs adjusting, otherwise it's a strip down and days work playing till it's right.

Thanks Andy, it does go up smoothly but once getting near the top something slips/moves so window does come right up to top. I have to pull it up that last bit.

I'm worried it's the mech itself and needs replacing?

unlikely to be the mechanism, its more likely to be the adjusters, I had to beef mine up with a nut bolt arrangement in places rather than a bolt into threaded alloy (stock).

If your mechanism is knackered I have spare as I junked mine and designed and fitted full electric mechanism (stupid amount of work but window goes down 1.5inches further).
