997 Front Boot Electrical Connection ??

Hi

Been a while..Just a quick one , I was looking in the front boot and i can see a spare electrical type plug next to the Sat Nav dvd changer ... Looks like it should be there .. But not sure.. Can someone let me know what this is.. is a for a cd changer or aftermarket bluetooth kit.. plug.. 997 Turbo 2008

I have the same lead in my 2007 turbo.

Discussions with the indie I bought it from suggested it was part of the iPod/Bluetooth upgrade where the multi CD that is still present on the PCM as an option but has been uninstalled by the previous owner was...

annoying I got rather excited one day when I saw iPod in the options on the screen....then spent ages looking for the iPod lead....

SO in theory using that wiring(plug).. can i plug a Dension unit in and get ipod Functionality ?

Or will there be more to it...... Is that the original plug for a factory fit CD Changer.

TBH, without looking up the wiring diagram, that appears to be just power. Dension requires the MOST bus connection and that is over a fibre pair (bright orange in colour).

It is the wiring preparation for a CDC. Standard for UK cars, I believe.
