Serving/Ex-Serving HM Forces

Evening PH techie types.

Has there ever been a discussion around a forum on the above - a lounge based forum for example? I know there are plenty of forces people(serving and ex-serving) on the forums, would be nice to have a place to share stories, banter and humour.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

I did have a search but there only seems to be threads on individual topics. I think it'd be a good idea to have somewhere to group them all together

I'm pretty sure this topic has come up before and IIRC the general consensus was that most individuals whom it would apply to would not want it to be known that they were/are members of the forces.

So do I CHIEF, but I can see the PH mentality for taking the military banter too far. We all have a laugh at each other in the military, but it seems to be commonplace to just be bloody offensive on here.

Agree 100% with your comment.

I've given up starting threads anymore due to some of the comments from people who wouldn't say boo to me in the street or in the pub simply because they're sat behind the safety of their tablet/phone/puter.

Posters being contradictory hostile seems to be de rigueur around here these days.

Sad times. The attitude is spreading to other motoring fora as well.
