Advice please ! Me and a mate were quite taken with the new K4 at the show and I wondered if any of you had any experiences with them (or earlier K3 model) that might help us make a decision, ideas on where best to buy would be helpful also.
Thanks
Tony.

From what I have heard, the Bandit 1200 is a better bike. They do look nice, though.

Not sure if I can offer any advice, but they look like a good laugh. I do feel that they're trying to use a big engine to get some fat torque though, in which case surely a twin would have been a better design. Either way, I think I prefer the SV1000s though I need to test ride one to really make sure.

Twins are crap for torque. Its a myth that they make more torque than a similar sized 4. They don't. Just look at the actual torque figures.

Twins don't spin up like a 4 which is where the myth originated, similar to the everlasting 2-stroke/4-stroke debate for MX bikes.

I've been toying with a 1400 for next summer, the only problem (according to the reviews) is that they don't wheely.

Ok, that's fair enough. You've heard they don't wheelie well? Really? I thought they'd be the dogs at that. I'll have to wait until I ride one to shed light on that. I'm still waiting for my mate to get the SV1000s demonstrator in at his dealership.

They spin up (or produce drive) rather than pop the front wheel (allegedly), which is shame. The best thing about the Bandit was how easy it was to ride on one wheel.
