Vixen's column

Which Triumph steering column fits the Vixen S3, The car currently has a one piece column which I want to replace with the collapsible type That have bought from a MkIV Spitfire. I thought would fit the Vixen but it's about 4" to short.

Thanks Alan. The top column is 51" the bottom column is 48"

As far as I know, the columns are Spitfire/Herald (etc), but the lower part of the column had an extension welded on to it.

My S3 looks like it has a steel tube fitted over the split pieces and then welded

Hi Andy That's the way I have now decided to go. I have cut the pieces to length, now need to get it welded.
