Best place to get pure lemon juice?

I'm looking to reduce my daily sugar intake, and one of the biggest factors at the minute is the use of supermarket cordial to disguise the awful, stty tatse of the tap water in my accomodation building.
I was going to switch instead to adding small amounts of pure lemon juice to my water, but having looked in the supermarkets the only readily available stuff seems to be sugared-up, preservative laden and intended to be drunk neat.

Am I best seeking out my local hippy health food shop, or trying to find some online? At this rate I'll end up resorting to Jif lemons....

A real lemon from any supermarket/grocer? I used to put a slice of lemon in a mug of hot water as an alternative to drinking tea/coffee.

I should have guessed that would be the answer, however I dont really have the time to be standing there juicing enough lemons for 3 litres of water a day... and I doubt it would be cheap

Why, what else would you be doing instead?

I'm sure that last time I looked, 4 unwaxed lemons from Lidl were something like 89p.

However you need a proper squeezer. I have this, which will last a lifetime, moreover gets all the juice out, and imparts a lovely zesty tang from the oils in the skin:

It will also work for limes, so double bubble.

Just buy bottled water..
If you shop around you can get it for 15p a litre if you buy right..
I remember morrisons selling 5 litres for 70p..
Lemon juice daily will give you too much acid..

There's still a lot of sugar in no added sugar cordial! Just like there's a lot of sugar in normal (ie sweet fruits) fruit juice.

Would roughly 30ml of lemon juice a day mixed with water really be worse than a small bottle of coke a day with regards to tooth enamel?

I might be missing something here but the squash i drink says it has about 8 cals a serving or something like that,how bad can it be?

Waitrose sell a product called PLJ in with the soft drinks. Stands for pure lemon juice and a quick search shows it at £1.99 price matched against tesco.

Ask at your local bar that has a decent cocktail menu. They will buy freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice in plastic bottles from local suppliers.

Usually jif lemon bought from the supermarket/shop round the corner and if they are being fancy decanted into an old delabeled vodka bottle.

I use cocktail bitters in most of the tap water i drink, new york water is gross tasting.

Angostura Bitters i the most widely available, but a good spirits store will have a range these days - I like grapefruit or apple bitters in water.

A couple of drops add all the flavor you need, and adds next to zero calories.

Buy a bobble bottle, it has it's own filter which filters the water as you drink. Makes tap water much better and is more environmentally friendly than buying bottled water all the time.

I have 2 oranges and a lemon for my breakfast every day and use a Duronic electric squeezer literally takes two minutes

This might be a stupid idea, but how about fruit tea bags left in hot water for a bit, then stuck in the fridge?
