I'm not entirely sure I get it either. Presumably you already have the data.
If you have enough data, not just a month, and I came to view your car and you could show me this I would be more inclined to purchase it, and perhaps haggle less harshly.
The prospect of paying more for it in an advert however would make me not take you seriously as a seller and look else where.

Did you buy the car brand new & if not can you prove how well the previous owner(s) drove it?
Why would I be tempted to pay more for yours than another without a box, would you pay more for a 2nd hand car with a box?
Fair enough it will show me you drove at sensible speeds but it won't tell me the speed you changed gear, you could spend every journey in 1st gear on the red line or if you rode the clutch.
If I'm buying a used car I want to see evidence of correct servicing, receipts not just a stamped book, the overall condition is more important to me, are panels same colour, shut lines ok condition of wheels, interior etc.
It's amazing just how much feel you get from talking to the seller as to how the car has been treated.

Not quite sure why people are just laughing at the OP without even attempting to explain why or assist, I guess its just the PH way these days, which is a shame
OP, when I look at a car I take into account what I can see with my eyes, what the data tells me such as the Service History MOT etc, I do also look at the owner as well.
If you are a young driver (which I am assuming because of the box) I would perhaps assume that you have ragged the car all over the shop, if you can then provide data which shows this not to be the case I would be impressed at your forethought and it would (as long as the overall package was good) make me more inclined to purchase the car from you.
As for getting more money, on a say 6k car I would potentially pay you 6k rather than 5,500 from the guy down the road but I wouldn't count your chickens on that too much, I do think it would make it easier to see though so cannot see the harm in including the data

I would guess they're "deactivated" once the policy is no longer valid. Can't imagine the insurance company has teams going around undoing the systems (although I could be wrong) The policy probably has an uplift in it anyway to cover the cost of the box etc so they're disposable from the insurance company point of view.
