Arrghhh IE 6 wont open new windows

IE 6 on XP, bloody thing has stopped open new windows when i click on any HTML Links with the target="_black" tag which should open new i.e. window.

Instead it just waits - flashes the title bar and then stays with where it was..... bloody thing....

Popup blockers are all off IE one and Google toolbar...


Any Ideas... and yes i have rebooted it several times.

Try this program to see if anything nasty is currenlty running in IE, HiJackThis(179kb)

I had that. It was some ad/malware. HijackThis lists it but it won't cure it for you. After some investigation I had to remove a DLL (sorry, can't recall which one).

Well sorted in the end - thanks guys..

Went via Hijack - but in the end had to re-install IE aswell to get things back to normal
