...much as I hate rubber knecking :

About a mile before Fleet Services on the NE bound side there was a 3 to 4 car pile up. Rear end of a blue Saab was on the roof of a Polo (or some such)

Mention it here because a unscathed silver 996GT3 was on the hard shoulder about 100 yards further up with an anxious man pacing about it.

For the car Polo to have got the Saab to sit on the Polo roof ther must have rear ended it at at least + 50 Mph - incredibly un-nattural signt in actuality.

Having written off a 993 in my day - I was wondering what horror stories other PH'ers out there have and are prepared to mention :-)

From a mate who was 3 cars back "they were all way to close and driving like d**ks" "the Porsche came past me at ***mph just before hand". This is second hand info so take it as you like, he said the Saab flying through the air was quite a sight though. Anyone who does that journey every morning knows that a tailback is imminent around that area and usualy has the break pedal covered!!!

That would explain why when I joined the M3 at junction 3 it was completely clear with no traffic whatsoever!

Hope everyone was ok.

What model of SAAB was in the bump?

Mrs Stu drives that route some mornings )-: ?

She would be in a 9-5 Aero Estate.... Cosmos Blue (the shade that most convertibles come in)
