How often do you wash your car?

Looking at patina vs used blog I wondered if I have a problem. I love driving my car but also love it to look as new.

That is why I have washed it for a 3rd time this week!

Whenever I get the opportunity - usually about once a month. Would be more if I could given the amount of salt on the roads!

Same here, but if the weather is bad (ie covering it in crap) less often as it is a waste of time - looks filthy after a few miles. So about once a month this "winter".

I can't remember the last time I washed my car, I got a new one a few weeks ago.

Put my winter alfa into its summer hibernation in March,got it out in October and still havnt washed it.
So last washed circa Feb 2013?

No salt n bucketloads of rain this winter so it hasnt really needed it.

My Capri gets done every week at least when its out in the summer.

Very similar to me, every week without fail in the summer but they are a real pain to keep clean in the winter so it does deter me a little.

I bought my car in september.
I havent cleaned the inside, ever.
I pressure washed the outside 2 months ago, but it was dark by the time i had finished so didnt bucket wash it.
It will get some love when it warms up outside.

ETA - just remembered, last Friday i jacked the car up and pressure washed the underside, i doubt there will be any gritting any more? right?

Went it has become so dirty to the point that I may get pulled over where the number plate is unreadable.

Forgot to mention that - the outside can be minging in winter, but the inside is showroom sparkling perfect and the glass crystal clear - cant abide a messy cabin and the glass has to be very clean with the low sun we get.

Never, local Polaks in Sainsbury's car park does a great job for £5, even when neighbours builder spilt concrete on it, (which a pro quoted over £500 to sort).

At that price i really can't be arsed to get my hands dirty.

I live in a rural area so I have to drive through mud and st to get anywhere...cleaning the outside during winter months is completely pointless imho.

100yds after it is cleaned it is filthy again.


Obviously Windows, lights, mirrors and number plates are always clean though.
