A bit bored, thought I'd venture onto some of the other forums that Piston Heads has to offer. Posted something over on the plod/law forum, nothing offensive, just recounting something out of the ordinary that happened to me earlier, and had my head bitten off.
I know this place has it's moments from time to time, but some of the other wasp nests on here are just weird.
For a bit of fun though, it wouldn't be too difficult to get a bite if you've had a bad day.

Blimey - they were a bit quick to judge, weren't they?
It's a little sad that as a decent human being, you can't innocently share something you've experienced (and it was certainly worth sharing), without a pack of trolls wading in for some bloodsport.

Well I thought it was an interesting post. Just on that subject, my idiot son got me pulled over on Thursday night. I have a black 5 series, that some might say has the look of an unmarked traffic car. well, I bought him an led torch that unbeknownst to me could be set to flash. What I didn't realise was that it would flash blue...
So, picking him up from nursery, we drove past our village police station - can you see where this is heading?

Don't worry about it LD,clearly its a case of mistaken Identity on this occasion…………..
Obviously the extremely vigilant cctv operators mistook you for our crafty resident blagger Cockers and panicked and called the plod.
Mind you thats a result getting a pretty one all in uniform some would pay good money for that………...

I suspect it's Friday night and a fair bit had been drunk. Posting goes downhill rapidly.
On 'advanced driving' I got into a spat because I asked what they meant by the term as a lot of people thinks it's finding cunning ways to get past people, using the wrong lane at a roundabout and looping round, going the wrong way at junctions and doing a u-turn etc. Half seemed to think any trick was ok others thought like myself that the forum was more about safe driving.

Fully agree! I had to smile though when you wrote "What does s,p & l mean, please?"... I SO hope that this was to wind them up!!! Thankfully you didn't answer the question about which car you drive as I can only imagine the added flack. Stay with us in future, you know how much friendlier everyone is.

They were obviously having so much fun they didn't bother to look at his profile which might have given a bit of a clue as to the car.Just be thankful you parked properly. If you'd parked and left your wheels slightly angled or god forbid, not in white lines ,then they would be out searching for your car. You'd get back to trolley damage, kicked in panels and flat tyres.

Well it just goes to show what a decent bunch we all really are. OK, we have our opinions, likes, dislikes and views on things and that's fine. It's what makes are own little corner of this huge house with its dozens of little chat rooms so special. It's clear that us enthusiasts for the Aston Martin brand all have more than one thing in common. And that's class.

When one of those sanctimonious 'individuals' wants to pay to have a dent removed from my aluminium panel, then I'll park to keep their OCD happy. Until then, I will park defensively to protect my P&J from inconsiderate people.
