In case you are interested in a bit of TVR on TV, My Tamora iwill be making a brief appearance on the new series of Fifth Gear this monday 8PM on The Discovery channel.

It's in the part where they come up with 3 alternative used cars to a new Supercar. The other two cars are a Brera Spider and a TT Roadster.

They work at three different price points, but the Tamora would be difficult to beat at any level!

I'm quite enjoying Fifth Gear at the moment.

No contest really, TT Roadster every time, regardless of price.

Much more exclusive, exciting to drive and full of character, and it's an Audi! Surely that is reason enough? That's why I bought this as the family transport (taken last week).

smile if you were sensible enough, not to by a TVR, you should have bought a fast audi estate to get the whole family in , including the buggysmile, great photo by the way, and your tamora looks epic.

The RS6 / TVR combo has a certain appeal but I don't think my wallet would like it... When he gets a sightly smaller buggy it will fit in the boot and the Tamora will be an ideal family car. I hope to use it for the nursery run a bit this year which should be fun.

Looking forward to seeing what they make of the choice on 5th gear.

They aren't pitting them against each other. They are all completely different cars. That section just looks at three options at different price ranges.
Brera vs Tamara? Really?

I don't think they do it what way - they simply show three alternatives to more expensive new cars in three different price brackets.

I do remember, however, a series called Driven, where they pitted the (then new) Tamora against the Boxster. In the end, Penny Mallory asked the audience to chose which they liked best, and as it because clear the Tamora won, Penny Mallory could be heard saying 'Oh No'! as all the presenters seemed to be biased towards the German marque.

ETA - Found the clip!

This old Men and Motors clip is another Tamora / Boxster comparison.

The part I like is when the presenter suggests the Boxster will hold its value better than the TVR - See the clip below.

A browse through the classifieds doesn't support that. From personal experience, buying a TVR has been a great way to save money. Or a great way to support British specialist garages. One of those...

I too noticed that on the old reviews, they all state that the Porker will hold its value more than the TVR. Quite funny when we compare same year prices now.

Nothing will ever beat their responsible reporting on the T350. Apparently VBH even does some talking at some points wink

Agreed. i'm sure the Lambo would have driven away from the TVR on that windey road but the TVR is still just as much fun, and a lot easier to live with.
