2 small problems

Hi guys
2 small problems with the car 1st being the spedo stopped working today ive checked the connection by the fuse box and it looks in good condition with no signs of corrosion so any other suggestions would be greatful
2nd problem is the reverse lights have also stopped working ive checked the fuses and there all ok so again any suggestions would be helpful

Not sure on the first issue, however my reverse lights suddenly stopped and it needed a new reverse light switch, pretty simple job.

The fact that the speedo isnt working as well as that could mean its something electrically related?

Speedo issue usually means a faulty sensor located inside of your O/side wheel hub.

on the 5 speed the speedo sender (gearbox mounted around the area under the oil breather) shares the same 12v feed wire as the reverse switch. both are easy to find. a simple test is to find the reverse switch and bridge the connector, if the lights come on you have power..

Black. 12v+
Red/black speed signal
Brown Earth

Where I was coming from, but he didn't answer the question. Unlickly both things would fail simultaneously on a six speed.
