Seat Leon Cupra - thats never been over 70mph

Hello all,
Not the most interesting car on here by any stretch of the imagination - but I greatly enjoy reading these threads so i'd best contribute something!
A lady at work came into my room to announce she was selling her Leon - I joked to my colleague that it was probably the most un-abused Leon Cupra in the country. I am lucky enough to work in the motorsport industry so all of us are big petrolheads but by lunchtime i'd been persuaded by the lads to investigate a little further.
Turns out she bought the car brand new in 2002, has FSH including all the original bills of sale, has never been over 70mph ("because that's the best way to get good MPG on a motorway you see")and is mine if I promise to look after it.
BMW offered her sod all in p/x so I was told for £800 it was mine. I instantly said yes, and picked it up as soon as the 1 series was delivered. She insisted on giving me £20 back because it only had 1/2 tank of fuel in it - seriously - so for £780 I present my Leon:
It does need a few bits and bobs, it is due a cambelt and she says its on the original exhaust so that must be fairly ropey - but for the money paid im pretty chuffed! Just got to try and not get too carried away..

Looks very smart. I wouldn't write the exhaust off automatically. I have a 100,000+ mile 2003 Cupra-R and apart from a cat heatshield which came loose and was fixed the original exhaust is fine. I replaced the backbox two years ago to give it a bit of a deeper note but the original box was still perfectly serviceable.

+1. I've not replaced an exhaust in over 20 years. 
Thanks for the positive comments guys, i genuinely did say to the previous owner that it was too cheap, but she insisted on this price and without being crude, money is not an issue to her.
It's got a comprehensive service history with most of it being at seat, and has covered 110,000 miles. Lovely!

What a great buy, question is though if the original owner was concerned about mpg why buy a Cupra? and not the tractor engine variant?Edited by Alfa GTV on Sunday 2nd March 13:58
