Flashed - no road markings! Will I get a ticket?

I set off a Gatso on Sunday...will I get a ticket?

1. I was driving north towards it NOT away from it
2. It was on the other side of the road facing towards me
3. There was no gatso on my side of the road
3. There were no road markings on my side of the road only on the other side of the road
4. I beleive that it only flashed once
5. It was one of the older models (I am informed) with one flash unit and one lens unit (both square shaped)

Serves me right if I do, however...help or views greatly appreciated.

Could have been a truvello. They flash once and take a picture of the front of the car. There are usually 3 white lines very close together on the road.

Do a search on truvello on here and it will bring up lots of details on the cameras and how they work.

If its an old style machine you are probably lucky as they are not type approved to steal 60 credits from your wallet...

Sounds like a Gatso to catch traffic going in the opposite direction, in which case you'll hear nothing more.
Just make sure it's not a Truvelo.

No, if it was a GATSO, you will not hear anything, or highly unlikley to.

How many times did it flash because they need to get 2 photos of you in order to work out you speed using the road marking as a secondary check...

If its truvello its just one flash.

I know that slider, thats why i put at the top of my post " if its a GATSO "

Plus, if its a single lane carrige way, ie most 30 limits are, then in 99% of the time, the TRUVELLO camera is on the passenger side of the road, not in all cases granted, but most. Also, the truvello camera doesnt use flash photo'ing, its infared and its altoghther different from gatso's

It does use flash photography, it has a magenta lense usually so will flash pinky red colour (provided the lense hasnt been scrapped off as its just a film on the flash lense).
It depends if the camera is able to be turned around or not (as the majority are) so could be either side of the road.

Not intending an argument... must have been crossed wires, i was assuming that it flashed him once in the face he must have been refering to a truvello.

Thanks for comments - I had reached the same conclusion (however, don't want to count chickens etc). I did have seat belt on though!
