Vauxhall Vs McLaren

Forgive the awful shot - but I did think it was funny to see some ropey old Vauxhall driving right up the chuff of a McLaren. Had been an inch off his bumper for a while which this shot doesn't capture.

I can't see the car that the McLaren is overtaking, so I wonder why it's sitting in the outside lane holding up other traffic.

I got a lot of young males in hot hatches packed with a lot of other young males constantly trying that when I had my Supras. The TVR didnt seem to get it that much, think in the time I had it I had 2 people either shout something about my Dads income or sit right up my chuff flashing their lights.

I have to agree. The cars involved is irrelevant, if the car behind wants to travel faster then they entitled to overtake. Just because the McLaren has more power/is faster then it doesn't mean that a 'lesser' vehicle shouldn't overtake it.

I have to agree. The cars involved is irrelevant, if the car behind wants to travel faster then they entitled to overtake. Just because the McLaren has more power/is faster then it doesn't mean that a 'lesser' vehicle shouldn't overtake it.

With all due respect you can barely see 20m ahead of the McLaren so you can't really say he's lane hogging.

I can say that, definitely. It doesn't mean it's true, you're right. But seeing as how this is the internet I couldn't possibly back down or give the impression I may be wrong, so unfortunately this may develop into a very long winded and pointless thread.

Since the inception of the dark grey/recession white CDTi Vauxhall Insignia, everyone should know that they are the number one fastest cars on the road today, you could be driving the Starship Enterprise down the M1 at warp 9 and they'd still be an insignia up its arse.

Not a good shot - they were doing around 50 in a 50 zone and overtaking other traffic.... The Vauxhall had been right up behind him for a while.

Perhaps the Vuaxhall driver was French, they specialise in getting right on the tails of supercars in their sales rep cars in my experience.

I've still got a joke highway code from some crap mag (poss Fast Car) which had a brilliant formula to work out who had the fastest car - number of wipers divided by number of exhaust pipes. The higher the result the quicker the car
