Anyone got an opinion based on ownership? Is the auto box tolerable? reliable?

Not driven one myself but they are very reliable and a well sorted box. Certainly a good option if a manual box is difficult for you for any reason.

We have a auto on are mk1 with overdrive , had the car about 8 years now never had a problem with the gearbox, very reliable. I personally havent driven to many auto cars but its fine still goes well kick down can be a little aggressive if really plant it, but I found that with all the few autos I driven
