96 4.2 speedo

Can anyone tell me what the maximum reading is on the speedo ?

Mine's showing 180, I've been told it may have the wrong speedo in it (possibly from a Chim)

Also, sometimes, it won't drop below 40mph (even whilst standing still), on closer inspection, it looks like the needle is resting on one of the small screw's.

Any idea's please ?

I believe mine is 180 also. I'll check later and get back to you as I need to remove it anyway.

I agree with 180 on a 96 4.2 too.

Not strictly answering the question, but may shed some light on it, my '97 4.2 reads up to 220 mph.

I didn't realise the '97 on Cerbs were that much faster.

Your's will have a 4.5 speedo in it then or as it's commonly know the "flying pig" speedo.

They were upgraded to the 220mph at some point, can't remember when exactly.
