In my Chimaera I have two hidden buttons that I didn't know about when I bought the car......

Button 1 just above your left knee turns the dash illumination on and off, not a good thing to discover at night on an unlit B road

Button 2 just above your right knee opens the boot, not a good thing to discover at night on an unlit B road

I now drive with my knees under control

The RS1600i had a stopwatch built into the clock unit.

Useful on the Ring.

Surely that was there to measure how many minutes it took to get form 0-60?

My Volvo V70 comes with an incredibly useful 'waste bin', between the two front seats.

It's actually just a flimsy piece of plastic that flips out, in to which you can place a plastic bag and pretend it's a bin.

2005 - 2009 Mustang has a stopwatch also, not sure if its an option/part of the premium interior package or standard fit though.

Also on Volvos is a little plastic flap on the A-pillar so you can slide pay'n'display tickets under them rather than leaving them randomly on the dashboard.

My S-Type (and a few other types of jaguar) has an Engineering Test Mode that amongst other things allows you to know what DTC's have been logged without having to plug and ODB reader in.

Jag XJ, cubby to the right of your knee under the dash. At first glance looks perfect for coins and stuff. But hit the loud pedal and everything in there is emptied onto the floor directly into the drivers seat runner.

The "curry hook" fitted to the passenger side lower dash of Discos! Brilliant and surprisingly useful ;-)
