high flow mx5 alloy rad

Seem to remember someone having fitted a mx5 'race' rad I've had a look on eBay and the only one seems to have a pressure cap fitted. My question is.. how does this effect the 'plumbing' if at all, do you just ignore it or perhaps it elliminates the need for the swirl pot ? I have no idea so if you have fitted one let me know. Thanks.

I fitted a Ford Mustang radiator a little while back, and it had a radiator cap on the top. I couldn't get a blank cap from my local shop so I just bought the lowest pressure available so it doesn't mess with the return flow to the swirl pot. No problems at all so far....
