New M135i Problem - help needed!
Discussion
So I collected my new car on Saturday, car was checked over but it was wet... Nothing untoward found, lease paperwork signed and went off on my merry way.
Later on in the afternoon the car was outside my friends house and had dried off when I noticed something on the front wing.... Yup a nice dent and a few marks.... Checked on the otherside and surprise surprise, exactly the same.
It's obviously where both M badges were - I specced model delete.... So spoke to supplying dealer today - they said to go to my local Dealer and see what they said (collected car 90miles away)
They won't fix it under warranty as it's obvious it was damaged before collection, their body shop guy said both front wings and both front doors will need respraying and told me to get in touch with the supplying dealer, which I did.
They have been mega helpful and are bending over backwards to fix it, I also called the lease company who were less than impressed and have also got on their case. The upside of it is, they will be collecting the car, dropping me one to use whilst it gets fixed.
I am obviously exceedingly f***ed off that my brand new car was damaged by some incompetent oaf with no brain cells and that I stand to have a car with less than 200 miles on it have both front wings and doors resprayed!!
So my question is, where do I stand? I'm tempted to say to the lease company that I want a new one and reject it.... The dealership have admitted responsibility so what do people think? I obviously don't want to be left without a car though.

Dreadful! Your new car experience ruined.
I've never had a new BMW, but I thought the delete option would mean the badges were never put on when the car was made, same as if someone wants a lumbar support for the seats; all the personalisation gets done at source.
If that's the case then who messed up and left them on?
If that's not the case then it was the dealer's responsibility to remove, but in any event it strikes me as fishy that the mistake was repeated and that no one either doing it or inspecting it noticed!
If I were to reject a car, I would do it promptly before it gets fixed. If rejection isn't your route, then you have to seek compensation from them. It's hard to put a figure on it, but I would be pushing for a over a grand in addition to the loan of a car, which I would push to be at least as good as the M135i.

Gutted for you, lease car or not it's still a sickener. PM me if you prefer but can I ask how you sourced the car (lease co / supplying dealer). The reason I ask is that I also specced full debadge but the car arrived with the wing badges on. After consulting the lease co. they have told me to take it to my local dealer to have them removed then send the invoice on. After seeing the possible outcome I may not bother!!
I can sympathise. Years ago I collected my new Nissan 200SX (it was a dream car for me at the time, replacing a Cavalier!). Got home and immediately showed it off to my wife. She saw dent that I had missed in the same place as your BMW. I had not stopped on the way back so it must have been there all along. Called the dealer who was 50 miles way and they were great. I had to take the car back when they re-opened on the Monday and had to put up with a grim Primera loan car to do all the tasty journeys I had planned for that week. They worked out that he dent had been caused by the technician who fitted the alarm system. In those days alarms were a dealer fit option. The incident really took the shine off the whole experience that I had spent months looking forward to.

I agree with an earlier poster... It's a lease car, not "your" car, so just get it fixed and don't worry about it, that's part of the point of leasing vs. owning.
Yes, I would have to agree with this. It's annoying and has detracted from your new car experience. However, you are just hiring the car. Let them fix it and then enjoy it. As someone else posted it will also get rid of the orange peel that appears to be a standard feature on new BMWs.pp
Isn't this a 'very slight paint problem', or 'new lease car not quite right, but hardly a big issue' problem rather than 'New M135i Problem - help needed !'
I was kind of expecting some sort of niche model specific issue....but in reality it's so dull I am in danger of falling asleep typing thivafdsbbhtrbbwtbhwjyrjjnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Two days after I picked mine up in the pouring rain, I noticed a load of silvery flecks in the roof paints and a tiny dent in the rear bumper (probably from the trip over the Channel). Kicked up
a bit of a fuss as the initial "solution" was a PITA; they delivered me a 4 series, took mine back (the sales guy recorded his mileage and mpg; he drove VERY carefully!), sorted or really well then I picked it up; I'm a detailing nerd and took a mega power torch to check it; all spot on.
It's a pain but it happens. If it's sorted then I don't mind. I also like trying out other cars!
