R56 - OEM brake pad options (Mintex, EBC etc.)
Discussion
It looks like my R56 Cooper is going to be requesting new front pads in a couple of hundred miles. I swapped them myself 30k ago and at the time there were no OEM pads on the market for the R56 and the car was still under warranty so I happily coughed up for the genuine bits.
A quick look on the internet and it looks like Mintex, EBC and other manufacturers I've heard of all now produce OEM pads for about £25 a set, instead of the £60/70 I seem to remember paying for genuine BMW branded Galfer pads. Has anyone fitted OEM pads to their R56? Was the fit/performance fine? Any recommendations?

Thanks. I ended up ordering Brembo pads, Brembo painted discs and a Pagid wear sensor. Came to about £120 delivered. I think I got the genuine parts for around £170 last time, so a reasonable saving and it'll be interesting to see if the Brembo pads are equal/better/worse than the OE bits.
